Himachal Pradesh
Where is Himachal Pradesh?
Himachal Pradesh is a Northern state in the Indian Himalayas. It borders the state of Jammu and Kashmir to the north, Tibet to the east and Uttarakhand, Haryana and Punjab to the south and south east. Himachal Pradesh is home to the western Himalayas and has incredibly beautiful landscapes. On clear days the snow-covered mountains are visible with its deep gorges and forest covered valleys. Hindus represent the majority of the population in Himachal Pradesh but when you travel toward the eastern part, such as Spiti and Lahaul people are primarily Buddhists. The Dalai Lama's government in exile and main spiritual seat is in Dharamsala, also located in Himachal Pradesh.
