Meet Ravi

Born and raised in Himachal Pradesh, North India, Ravi is our wool and weave master. Hi is from an area called Kullu Valley, nestled amongst the Indian Himalayas, and his family has been traditional weavers since generations. Ravi learned from his father and as a young boy would always help his father and got interested in the art of weaving. Ravi is married and has two children. In the beginning he was just weaving as part of the family business, until he later started experimenting with designs and weave. Here he is below setting up a loom.

Ravi's father passed away a few years ago and since then, Ravi has taken over the family business and is providing for his family. Here he is with his wife and his mother, holding their oldest girl.

Northern India, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, are known in India and in the rest of the world for their handloom woollen unique designs and products. Traditionally, there was a woman in almost every household knitting, spinning and weaving.
